Sarah (Stoltzfus) Mast
Sarah (Stoltzfus) Mast (1846-1878) is our great grandmother on Dad’s side. She and her husband Benuel Mast had 3 children: Salome (Lomie), Emmanuel (Mannie), and Isaac (Soccer). Sarah was the sister of our great-great grandmother Rebecca (Stoltzfus) Mast who was married to Sarah's father-in-law, John M. Mast. Sarah died at age 32 leaving her 3 young children in the care of relatives. Her parents were Tennessee John (1805-1887) and Catherine (Hooley) (1807-1884) Stoltzfus.
Sarah Stoltzfus Mast Obituary Great Grandmother Sarah's obituary is titled "Triumphant Death." It was written by her younger brother, Jacob Stoltzfus, who tells the story of her parents traveling from Tennessee to visit Sarah before she died.
