Isaac Miller Mast
Isaac Miller Mast (1823-1907) is our great-great grandfather on both Dad’s and Mom's sides. He was born on January 8, 1823, and died January 22, 1907. He and Mary Kurtz were married January 8, 1846, and lived most of their married life on a farm on Best Road near Morgantown, Pennsylvania, in Caernarvon Township, Lancaster County. Isaac was a farmer, took fruits and vegetables to Reading Market, and had a lime business. He and Mary had seven chidren, five of whom reached adulthood: Benuel, Emma, Isaac K, Stephen, and Mary. Isaac was one of the church leaders who were instrumental in forming the Conestoga Amish Mennonite Church. His parents were Stephen (1800-1868) and Hannah (Miller) (1805=1866) Mast.
