Fannie Rebecca (Yoder) Mast
Fannie Rebecca (Yoder) Mast (1878-1971) is our grandmother on Dad's side. She was born on January 12, 1878, in Mifflin County, Pennsylvania, and died on March 31, 1971, in Chester County, Pennsylvania. In 1901, she married Isaac S. Mast and together they raised 5 children (Timothy, Charity, Eunice, Ruth, and Isaac). Fannie often had full responsibility for caring for the children, tending the farm, and entertaining visitors from the East as her husband traveled for weeks at a time fulfilling his duties as bishop in North Dakota and surrounding states. Fannie was familiar with the sacrifices of a bishop's family since her grandfather, Samuel Yoder, was also a bishop in Mifflin County. Her parents were Levi B. (1852-1928) and Elizabeth (Hartzler) (1854-1920) Yoder.
