Elizabeth Hartzler
Elizabeth Hartzler (1854-1920) was born in Mifflin County, Pennsylvania, on December 5, 1854, and died at the age of 65 in Ward County, Surrey, North Dakota. She married Levi Byler Yoder on February 22, 1877. Two of their 10 children, Willie and Nancy, died young. Elizabeth and her husband were part of the family group that moved from Mifflin County to North Dakota in 1903. Her grandchildren always regretted leaving their much-loved grandmother behind, buried on the prairie, when they returned East. Her parents were Yost (1827-1901) and Barbara (King) (1830-1897) Hartzler.
