Mary Kurtz Mast
Mary Kurtz (1827-1914) is our two-greats grandmother on both our Mom's and Dad's sides. She was born on April 1, 1827 and died March 14, 1914. She and her husband, Isaac Miller Mast, were married January 8, 1846, and lived most of their married life on a farm on Best Road near Morgantown, Pennsylvania, in Caernarvon Township, Lancaster County. They had 7 children two of whom died young. Isaac and Mary were members of the Amish congregation in the Conestoga Valley until the split in 1877 when they were part of the group that founded Conestoga Amish Mennonite Church. Her parents were Christian (1789-1852) and Catherine (King) (1798-1869) Kurtz.
